The Art & Science of Being a Chair Certificate program

9:00am - 4:30pm (full-day session)

This certificate program is for board and committee chairs and directors who want to be more effective in the role of chair. Most boards and committees have largely succeeded in defining the structure, charter, roles, and responsibilities, but culture and behaviour are at least as important to effective functioning.

Know Your Roles: The Board, C-Suite, Leadership Team, and Beyond

9:00am - 12:00pm (half-day session)

Clarity around roles is one of the most common questions we hear when out in the field. Join Governance Solutions’ experts and Professional Director faculty as we dive into the roles of board members and management in the most common milestone events of a typical annual cycle for a board.

1:00 - 4:30pm (half-day session)

Strategic plans are central to giving organizational direction and are one of the most important tools that boards can use to ensure alignment throughout the governance and operational systems. Done right, strategic planning involves input from the entire team, but who does what?
